SERAC-Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Mymensingh Urban Youth Council, is organizing an important advocacy meeting at the Mymensingh City Corporation. The meeting is scheduled to take place on 29 March 2026 at 10:00 AM in the City Corporation’s conference hall.

The session will be attended by Mr. Md. Rokonuzzaman Sarkar Rokon, Administrator of Mymensingh City Corporation, and will focus on discussing the roles, responsibilities of the Urban Youth Council and how the council can effectively coordinate with the City Corporation to implement youth-led initiatives and contribute to urban development.

Additionally, the meeting will include activities to observe The International Day of Zero Waste 2026, with this year’s theme focusing on food waste. The session will raise awareness about reducing food waste, promoting sustainable consumption, and encouraging environmentally responsible practices in the city. This collaborative dialogue aims to strengthen youth participation in governance while fostering a cleaner, more sustainable Mymensingh.
