Mymensingh City
Mymensingh Division is one of the eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. It has an area of 10,485 square kilometers (4,048 sq mi) and a population of 11,370,000 as of the 2011 census. It was created in 2015 from districts previously composing the northern part of the Dhaka Division. Its headquarters are Mymensingh city in Mymensingh District.
Rangpur City
Rangpur is one of the major cities in Bangladesh and the Rangpur Division. Rangpur was declared a district headquarters on December 16, 1769, and established as a municipality in 1869, making it one of the oldest municipalities in Bangladesh. The municipal office building was erected in 1892 under the precedence of Raja Janaki Ballav, Senior Chairman of the municipality. In 1890, the Shyamasundari canal was excavated for the improvement of the town. Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhantu was the first mayor of Rangpur City Corporation. There are many tourist places are attracted tourists of Rangpur City. It is a historical city of northern region of Bangladesh. Tajhat Palace is the most viewed place of this city. Devi Caudhuranir Jamindar Bari and Pirgacha Landlord House also the ancient tourist place.
Rajshahi City
Historically Rajshahi named Rampur Boalia that’s nicknamed Silk City or the City of Education. It is a metropolitan city and a major urban, commercial and educational center of Bangladesh. It is also the administrative seat of the eponymous division and district. Located on the north bank of the Padma River, near the Bangladesh-India border, the city has a population of over 763,952 residents. The city is surrounded by the satellite towns of Nowhata and Katakhali, which together build an urban agglomeration of about 1 million population. Rajshahi is often considering the most clean and green among the cities of Bangladesh. Rajshahi is also well known for its fruits, especially for Mango and Lychee. Rajshahi is an important tourist destination because of a number of ancient mosques, shrines and temples in and around the city.
Narayanganj City
Narayanganj is a city in central Bangladesh. It is in the Narayanganj District, about 16 km southeast of the capital city of Dhaka and has a population of about 2 million. It is the 6th largest city in Bangladesh. It is also a center of business and industry, especially the jute trade and processing plants, and the textile sector of the country. It is nicknamed the Dundee of Bangladesh due to the presence of its many jute mills. (Dundee was the first industrialized 'Juteopolis' in the world.)
Khulna City
Khulna is a major city in southwestern Bangladesh. It is located in the Khulna District, about 270 km southwest of the capital city Dhaka, and has a population of over 1 million. It is the third-largest metropolitan city in Bangladesh. Khulna is an important center of commerce and industry, particularly known for shipbuilding, seafood processing, jute mills, and industrial manufacturing. The city also serves as a gateway to the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest.
