



An Open House Day event was held in Rajshahi in collaboration with the Rajshahi Urban Youth Council, bringing together young leaders from diverse backgrounds.
The event opened with an energetic session, featuring a wide range of key stakeholders, including representatives from the Scouts, Girl Guides, Red Crescent, third-gender communities, indigenous groups, ethnic minorities, and local organizations. The diverse attendance reflected the inclusivity of the event, emphasizing the need for every voice to be heard in conversations surrounding urban sustainability and youth empowerment. Distinguished guests, including Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Divisional Commissioner (Additional Secretary) of Rajshahi City Corporation, and Md. Mobarak Hossain, Secretary (Deputy Secretary), were also in attendance, lending their support to this significant event.
Participants engaged in open consultations, where they discussed how to effectively collaborate with the Rajshahi Urban Youth Council and ensure the longevity of the council as a platform for youth-led change. This collaborative dialogue provided young people with the opportunity to share their perspectives, ideas, and concerns regarding the future of their city.
The interactive nature of the forum sparked thoughtful conversations about the essential role of youth in shaping policies and decisions that will have a lasting impact on their community. It underscored the power of collaboration in amplifying young voices and empowering them to take active roles in urban development.
By the end of the event, it was clear that Rajshahi’s youth were poised to play a pivotal role in fostering positive change. Their energy, ideas, and passion will drive sustainable urban development and contribute to the creation of a more inclusive and resilient Bangladesh. The Open House Day was a meaningful step towards building a generation of empowered young leaders ready to lead their city into a brighter future. A dedicated Facebook group also opened for sustain the collaboration of these groups and strengthening the network of young leaders.
